You know how imported cars under 25 years of age are a no-no in 'Muricuh? Well, the US Customs and Border Patrol decided to remind us. WARNING: Graphic machine-on-vehicle vehicle-slaughter inside!
Those bastards took a perfectly looking LR Defender and crushed it to death!
Apparently the owner changed its VIN info and as a punishment, the unlucky Defender got grounded to the ground. Won't anyone think of our precious imported 4-wheeled babies? Shouldn't they be focusing on more important things than cars? Leave the car stuff to those that love cars.

They don't hate cars. They just love protecting the american people. That's obviously a decepticon they're crushing. Black + SUV = decepticon. He obviously thought he'd be safer from persecution as a rare SUV prized by US collectors, but that shows what he knew.

This wasn't for simply importing a car less than 25 years old. The owner or importer at some point altered the VIN, fraud, to allow for normal registry. You can bring any car you want into the US, almost, using the show and display exemption or just don't register it for street use. You can also apply for an exception. Somewhere out there there is a list of cars you can import, things like B4 RS4s and C4 S6s are on the list and if you go through the effort you could probably have whatever you want added to the list if it's from Europe, Japan also, but there is more effort required.

yea i love how people have been bitching over this story for the past week. get involved in illegal importation and this is what happens. if you bring it in according to the rules you have no issues at all.
My brother is a United states border patrol agent and i hate when people say we are wasting money on stopping stuff like this. Its illegal so dont f-ing do it.
